President's Week Crafts & Activities at Garvies Point Museum

Crafts and programs appropriate for all ages. Craft fees listed are in addition to Museum General Admission:
$5.00/adults, $3.00/children 5-12 years.
Craft proceeds go to the Friends of Garvies Point Museum and Preserve.

Saturday February 15th

10am - 4pm - ongoing
BACKYARD BIRD COUNT
Be a citizen scientist for a day! Participate by counting numbers and species of birds around the preserve. No charge for participation, regular museum admission applies.
11am and 2pm
WOODLAND WINTER WALK
We will observe birds, trees, animals and any tracks and learn how they can survive such harsh conditions.

NATURE CRAFTS
Walk/craft included with museum admission.

Join us for different authentic Native American games, crafts, and films each day. Games, crafts, face painting included with museum admission.

GEOLOGY DAY
Join us for a day full of all things that rock!
Learn to identify rocks like a geologist does during our hands-on workshops to perform scientific tests to ID minerals, learn & observe special properties; natural rock pigment painting craft; geology beach walks; bring in & show off your own rock collection; learn Garvies geology; see & learn about local fossils; feel free to bring in your own items for ID. $5.00 per person 5 years+
