SHORELINE SCAVENGER HUNT & SEINING

Explore the shore for crabs, snails, seashells & more! See our large seine (net) in action to discover sub-tidal (underwater) critters! Water shoes welcome. All ages welcome. All wildlife will be returned to its habitat!
11am - 4pm, every 1/2 hour
SAND-CASTING CRAFT:
Make an artistic keepsake of the shoreline!
$5.00 per participant

BUTTERFLY & INSECT STUDY
Join us as we explore our field and garden environments in search of a variety of insects, butterflies & more! Learn unique adaptations & why insects are so important to our ecosystem. Use bug catchers, magnifiers, nets, & field guides! All ages welcome. All wildlife will be returned to their habitat!
11am - 4pm, ongoing
FAIRY-GARDEN ROCK PAINTING: Make a beautiful keepsake for your garden! Included with museum admission.

July 27th | 11:00am and 1:00pm

ANCIENT ANIMALS & DARING DINOSAURS
Fascinating facts, fossils & replica fossils, claws, teeth & much more in our Dino Room with hands-on activities.
4 yrs. + recommended.
11am - 4pm, every 1/2 hour
FOSSIL NECKLACE CRAFT:
Create a "fossil" pendant using special clay!
$5.00 per participant

August 3rd | 10:00am - 4:00pm

GARVIES POINT MUSEUM DAY
Activities ongoing & scheduled throughout the day Fun-filled day with crafts, nature exploring, face-painting, and much more!
$10 per adult, $5 per child 5-12 years old.

August 10th | 11:00am and 2:00pm

POND DISCOVERY

With buckets, nets & magnifiers, join us as we dip into the world of the pond! Observe small animals & insects that live in the pond and learn about their interesting life cycles. Wear sneakers. All ages. All wildlife will be returned to their habitat.

FROG LIFE CRAFT:
Learn the fascinating life cycle of frogs while crafting! Included with museum admission.

August 17th | 12:00pm and 2:00pm

GARVIES GEOLOGY BEACH WALK
Discover the unique natural formation of our rocky beach and nature preserve including cretaceous clays, concretions, fossils & much more! Sneakers recommended.

August 24th | 11:00am and 1:00pm

CAMP SKILLS & SURVIVAL 101
Learn basics of camping including useful tips for planned trips or survival situations. Ages 7+
