CHILDREN'S SUMMER DAY CAMPS 2020
Hands-on learning, exploring, activities, experiments, scavenger hunts
and arts & crafts for children 5-7 & 8-11 years old.
Tuesday - Friday, starts June 29th through Sept 3rd
$150.00 per child per four AM (9:30am-12:30pm) or PM (1-4pm) workshop sessions
$300 per child for four FULL days (9:30am-4pm)
Family Plus and higher members receive 10% discount.

Payment and form should be mailed to the museum at 50 Barry Drive, Glen Cove, NY 11542, payable to "Friends of Garvies Point Museum & Preserve"
Forms can be emailed to vnatale@nassaucountyny.gov and we will follow up with credit card information.
Daily schedule: Age appropriate hands-on learning session (topic varies daily), snack
break with half hr. film, arts and crafts, experiment & activities.
Workshops are held indoors and outdoors.
We recommend children bring a snack & water bottle each day. Children can stay for the full day
with supervised lunch period. If staying for full day, please bring 2 snacks + lunch.
CPR/First Aid trained staff on site

Junior Nature II: (Ages 5-7 only): Beach Exploration; Animal habitats, life cycles & food chains; Woodland wonders: Trees; Intro to Gardening
Nature I: Pond Study, Trees & Leaves, Insects & Spiders, Nature's Recycling (Ages 8-10)
Nature II: Beach Ecology, Animal Habitats, Flowers & Pollination, All About Birds (Ages 8-10)
Junior Geologist: Dinosaurs & Fossils, Rocks & Minerals, Erosion, Daytime Astronomy (Ages 5-7)
Geology: Rocks, Minerals, & Fossils, Erosion, Local Geology, Daytime Astronomy (Ages 8-10)
Native American: Tools & artifacts, culture, pottery-making, games & legends, campfire (Ages 5-10)
