Cloisonné enameling & techniques
In this 6-week class you will learn how to create a cloisonné enamel jewel. You will learn the step-by-step process on how to work with enamels. From cleaning to applying the enamels, to working with the cloisonné wire, to creating your one of a kind design. If time permits we will go over rubber-stamping, sgraffito and possibly other techniques. See supply list below.
Supply List: New never used 00, 02 paint brushes, plastic shot glasses, plastic or glass eye dropper, never used AA tweezers, 1 or 2 medium sifters (1- 1/4x7/8), 2 Three pointed trivets (2x1 ½), 3 feet of silver cloisonné wire (flat) (.040x.010), Flat Firing rack for holding trivets 4x4, flat nose chain nose, round nose pliers and shop shear or small bezel wire cutters. Copper discs 18 gauge circles 1½, 1-1/4 , oval 1x1-7/16 , one square 3 inches
